Property Review Series: Haus on Handy



As one of the luxurious addition that is nestled right at the heart of Dhoby Ghaut area, Haus on Handy is a property that is greatly anticipated for by many. In fact, Haus on Handy was the most popular CCR project in May of 2022, which moved 24 units at a median price of $2,682 psf. The property is along the Handy Road at Mount Sophia, exuding unparalleled luxury and sophistication while being decked with unbeatable facilities.


Haus on Handy is located along 28 & 30 Handy Road in District 9. It consists of 2 blocks of 9 and 12 storey condominiums that will hold a total of 188 exclusive residential units. Has on Handy will have unit types ranging from 1 to 3 bedroom for varying family sizes.

Let’s take a look: Tour of Haus on Handy

Unit Analysis: 1-Bedroom + Study (Type A4Sa)

We first take a look at their 1 bedroom + study unit, which spans across 48 sqm / 517 sqft. Walking into the entrance and we see the space is well designed to have ample walkway even with the kitchen on our side. The entrance is seamlessly connected to the living room and the balcony area, making the area look larger and pleasing to the eyes.



Next we take a good look at the kitchen area, which is fully spruced up and equipped with a V-Zug cooker hood, hob and oven. An integrated fridge and washer-dryer by Bosch, will see to keeping your groceries and clothes fresh. The hobs are all fully induction hobs with no gas provision.



Moving on, we take a walk and reach the study room, which has ample space to include a display cupboard and study table. We like how the area is well complemented by engineered wood floors. Do note that for flooring options, you can also choose between marble or engineered wood for living, kitchen, dining and study areas.



We finally get to the master bedroom, which is spacious enough to have bedside table and ample walking space to reach for the closets. Coupled with the engineered wood flooring and the wall-to-floor glass windows, the room is definitely comfortable and stunning.



Finally, we look at the bathroom, which has bathroom fittings from luxurious brands like Hansgrohe and Axor. Along with the luxurious marble tiles and walls, the bathroom is nothing short of elegance and grandeur.



Unit Analysis: 2 bedroom (Type B4)

Walking into the 2 bedroom unit and we immediately like how the entrance of the 2 bedroom is much more spacious, and we get to see how the marble flooring looks like – which complements with the unit very well.



Walking further in, we see the kitchen here as well, adorned with luxurious kitchen fittings from V-Zug – which includes the cooker hood, hob and oven. An integrated fridge and washer-dryer is also provided by Bosch, which is similar to the 1 bedroom unit as well. Similarly, the hobs are all fully induction hobs with no gas provision.



The dining table displayed here is connected to the living room’s couch, which is quite a clever use of space. But even without, the dining space is able to fit 4 people easily, and there is even enough space to place two chairs on the other end without blocking the walking space.



We also notice how the living room is now able to a much longer couch, which potentially sits at least 4 – 5 people comfortably. The balcony is also evidently much larger, able to accommodate a bar table and chairs along with some open space for leisurely morning stretches.



Moving on, we get to the master bedroom. We notice that there are two bedside tables slotted in easily, and the walking space is still very sufficient even with a larger bed. The smooth and sleek finishes of the closets and cupboards complement the engineered wood floorings well, giving the room a clean and crisp look.



Finally, we get to take a look at the unit’s bathroom. Evidently, it is much larger while keep true to the luxurious marble detailing. The bathroom fittings are also from luxurious brands like Hansgrohe and Axor. Again, along with the luxurious marble tiles and walls, the bathroom is nothing short of elegance and grandeur.



Other factors to consider: Location

Other than expecting a great spread of facilities and array of recreational offerings, Haus on Handy also commands a strategic location that is perfect for travelling literally anywhere. Being just a few minutes away from Dhoby Ghaut location, it means that residents living in Haus on Handy can reach numerous destinations on the Circle Line, North-South Line and even the North-East line as well. With three MRT lines contained at one MRT station, travelling is never this convenient.


In addition, right connected to the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station is Plaza Singapura, a shopping mall with numerous shopping and dining offerings. Otherwise, The Cathay is also within walking distance, perfect for residents to catch a movie with their loved ones.


In addition, other nearby shopping malls include Concorde Shopping Mall and The Atrium @ Orchard as well. A short 2-minute MRT ride of one stop will also take them to the City Hall MRT station, where residents can also visit the Suntec City as well. Another added advantage would be how residents, being directly linked to the North-South Line, can reach the Orchard area, an international shopping district decked with designer brands and luxurious shopping offerings. Also the best place for afternoon tea and some retail therapy, weekends is certainly never this exciting and therapeutic!


For those families with children that are still studying, they would be pleased to know that their proximity to the MRT station means that they can reach numerous schools nearby. Some of the nearby options include Singapore Mangement University, Nanyang Academy of FIne Arts (NAFA) and School of the Arts (SOTA).
